1.Open your Windows PC, go to This PC--Music--iTunes, or you can just search “iTunes Library.itl” to find it.
2.Now you can rename files “iTunes Library.itl” with “iTunes Library.old”.
3.Now find files “Previous iTunes Libraries” folder from This PC--Music--iTunes, and open it, then find out most recent version of iTunes library file. If you couldn’t find one, you can relaunch iTunes to have a try.
4.Then copy the most recent version of iTunes library files to your desktop or other folder address. And go back to This PC--Music--iTunes, and paste the files that you have copied on desktop here.and rename it with “iTunes Library.itl”.
Now open your iTunes on PC, and it will be OK right now.
Fix iTunes Library.itl Couldn’t Be Read Error on Mac

1.Firstly you will need to uninstall the new version of iTunes and install the old version one on your Mac.
2.Then click Command+Shift+G and type ~/Music/iTunes/
3.Or we can also go to Finder--Go--Go to Folder and search ~/Music/iTunes/
4.Then find the files “iTunes Library.itl” and rename it with “iTunes Library.old”, now find folder “Previous iTunes Libraries” in the same location, and open it.
5.Now find out the most recent version of iTunes library file. And copy it to your desktop or some other folder.
6.Then go to ~/Music/iTunes/ and paste the files there. And rename the files with “iTunes Library.itl”.
Now open iTunes on your Mac and try again, your issue will be solved.
