WhatsApp is a cross-platform chatting application which widely applies to iPhone, Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, Windows phone and so on. It provides us a convenient communicating channel through which we can exchange multi-type contents such as text messages, voice messages, photos, videos, etc with families, friends and colleagues flexibly. However, simply due to wrong deletion, factory reset, iOS upgrade or other improper operations, the WhatsApp messages and attachments are apt to be erased mistakenly. So, for iPhone or other iDevices, how to recover the deleted WhatsApp attachments (photos, audio messages...)?
In general, for the purpose of recovering deleted WhatsApp attachments from iPhone, you can access and restore them from iTunes or iCloud backup. However, after restoring the whole iTunes/iCloud backups to iPhone, you're likely to face with the risk of existing iPhone data erased or overwritten by the backup data. Fortunately, here I'm going to introduce a better solution to you: retrieve WhatsApp attachments from iTunes/iCloud backup selectively or iPhone directly.
In order to fulfill this task perfectly, you need to borrow some hands from iRefone for Mac, which is an excellent iOS data recovery. With its help, you are allowed to retrieve lost WhatsApp text messages, audio messages, photos, videos or other attachments from iPhone directly even without any backups. What's more, you're also permitted to access and extract the erased WhatsApp attachments on iTunes/iCloud backups rather than whole recovery. If you are on Windows, please turn to iRefone. Here, we will show you how to recover lost WhatsApp attachments from iPhone 6S/6/5S/5C/5/4S/4/3GS with iRefone for Mac in detailed steps.
