Make Sure iOS Device is Connected to WiFi

The key to update iOS through air is the network connection. So make sure you have connected to the stable Wi-Fi when doing the update. You could go to Settings on your iPhone to tap on Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then again on. If the problem still cannot solve, you could change another Wi-Fi to have a try.

Restart iOS Device

Another solution to solve the problem is to restart your iOS device. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until see the Slide Power off button on the screen. Then pull the slider to turn it off. Wait a minute and press and hold the sleep/wake button to restart it again.

Force Restart iPhone

If restart iPhone cannot solve your problem, you could try to force restart your iPhone.
-For iPhone 6 and previous models: Press and hold down “Home” and “Sleep/Wake” buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
-For iPhone 7 series: Press “Sleep/Wake” and “Volume Down” together for about 10 seconds. Leave your fingers off until the Apple logo appear on your screen.
-For iPhone X/8/8 Plus: Press and release the “Volume Up” button quickly and do the same operation on the “Volume Down” button. The press the power button until you see the Apple logo.

Reset Network Settings on iOS Device

If above solutions cannot help you solve your trouble, you could try to reset your network to have a try. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network to reset your iPhone network.



Delete iOS Beta Version

If you downloaded the iOS beta version on your iPhone which would prevent your from download the new iOS update. You need to delete the iOS beta version and download the new iOS version. Go to Settings > General > Profile & Device Management to click on the beta version and delete the profile.
